ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Doctor Octopus’s extensive academic background let him start the fight with each of his Research Categories at 6000.0 and each Breakthroughs is replaced by a new effect.
Physics: Power Drain 100% of any power gained and steal 5.0% of the Power Drained.
Chemistry: Deal Direct Damage equal to 100% of Health Gained and Lifesteal 15.0% of the Damage done.
Biology: Gain the standard Biology Breakthrough Armor Up and 15.0 Armor Penetration while it's active.
Abilities
SCIENTIFIC METHOD - PASSIVE
Research is built in each Category until it hits 10000.0. If you haven’t gained research in a category for 10 seconds it begins to fall off.
Each Category grants a Passive effect which scales as its category builds.
When a Category reaches 10000.0 it triggers a Breakthrough, as long as there isn’t one already active.
When a Breakthrough effect expires all Research Categories are reset to 0.0.
PHYSICS - RESEARCH CATEGORY
Builds on Opponent Gaining Power.
Scaling Effect: Opponent’s Special Attack Damage reduced by up to -50.0%
Breakthrough: Applies a Power Lock Debuff on the Opponent which lasts 5 seconds.
CHEMISTRY - RESEARCH CATEGORY
Builds on Block or Parry.
Scaling Effect: Increase of up to 50.0 Block Proficiency.
Breakthrough: Applies a Heal Block Debuff to the Opponent which lasts 5 seconds.
BIOLOGY - RESEARCH CATEGORY
Builds when landing Hits and when being Struck
Scaling Effect: Passive Fury, granting up to 100.0 Attack Rating.
Breakthrough: Applies an Armor Up Buff, granting 50.0 Armor for 5 seconds.
SPECIAL ATTACK 1
Reset the duration of any currently active Breakthrough Effect.
If no Breakthroughs are currently active it triggers the Breakthrough of whichever category is currently Highest.
SPECIAL ATTACK 2
Trigger the Breakthrough effect of all Research Categories currently at 10000.0, and reset the duration of all Breakthroughs to 3.5 seconds per Category currently at 10000.0.
SPECIAL ATTACK 3
Duplicate 100.0 Currently active Breakthrough(s) with a duration of 5 seconds.
This Duration increases by 1000.0 seconds per currently active Breakthrough.

For the first 10 second(s) of the fight the Opponent is immune to Buffs.
When dealing damage per Breakthrough removed on a Heavy Attack, 25% chance per Breakthrough to inflict another burst of damage dealing Attack Rating in damage.
On the start of the fight, inflict a Wither Debuff on the Opponent with a potency of 125% for 15 second(s).
